Narrative
BERLIN, NY – A two-vehicle collision along the highway in east-central Rensselaer County injured three people on Thursday morning.
Shortly after 7 a.m., authorities received reports of a major accident on Route 22 between Airport Road and Sand Bank Road in the city of Berlin, which is just west of the New York and Massachusetts state line.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the collision, nor have they specified the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
Medics transported three people to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Officials closed Route 22 in the area of the accident for over an hour while emergency crews worked at the scene.
