LONG ISLAND, NY – A late-night car crash on North Broadway in Jericho, Long Island, resulted in the deaths of two teenage boys and the hospitalization of two others. The accident was allegedly caused by a wrong-way driver, Amandeep Singh, who was driving his Dodge Ram southbound in the northbound lanes and collided with the Alfa Romeo sedan carrying the four teens. The crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The two boys who were killed in the accident were both 14 and sitting in the backseat of the sedan. The two other boys, aged 16 and 17, were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police confirmed that Singh was intoxicated at the time of the crash, and he has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
