GUILDERLAND, NY – According to WRIC News, a 6-vehicle crash on the New York State Thruway in Guilderland left two people dead on Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the incident took place around 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, between exits 24 and 25 for Albany and Schenectady on Interstate 90. It has been confirmed that 2 people were killed in the crash, however, no other identifying details about the victims have been released.

Police closed the eastbound lanes of I-90 following the crash, and asked drivers to avoid the area if possible. Investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
